Guidelines

  • Use the rubric to evaluate your student assignments and projects, then record the result in the Excel results file.
  • These assessments are used to evaluate the program and help us improve it. There are no minimum requirements or scores that students must achieve.
  • Only the course instructor or TA may perform the AoL assessment — students should not self-evaluate or peer-evaluate.
  • Once recorded, email the results to the CMU at cmu@cba.ku.edu.kw before the end of the semester scheduled for the assessment.
  • You may use a different grading scheme in your own class, but submissions to the CMU must use the standardized rubrics provided here.
  • There is no requirement to let students know that their work is used for AoL assessment.
  • Oral presentations may be individual or group-based; every group member must participate.
  • Written reports must be individual submissions, professionally typed, using APA or MLA formatting.
  • Where a course has multiple sections, coordinate across sections and use consistent parameters (word limits, presentation length, required sections).
